Omatoimimatka Mallorcalle osa 1

We got tired of the the cool and rainy weather in Finland last summer and did an extempore trip to Mallorca. There would have been package trips available but we bought the flights ourselves and rented a small cottage on the island. It didn´t become much cheaper because we were so late but this way it was easier to get what we wanted. We didn´t want to stay near the busy tourist beaches, so we rented a small one-bedroom house from the peaceful countryside.

Our Backyard Babies

We rented a car from the airport for the whole week because we wanted to be able to explore the island properly.

Vanhat espanjalaiset kylät, talot ja kapeat kujat osaavat aina viehättää minua. Seuraavassa näkymiä Alcúdian vanhasta kaupungista.

The old Spanish villages, houses and narrow alleys fascinates me every time. Here is some pictures from The Old Town of Alcúdia.

Cala Molins

After all we swam and snorkeled only here... There were quite a lot people but we were able to find a quiet private spot. The views were nice and the water was clear. Although  there was not much to see under water.

Cala D´or
Views around countryside of Mallorca and Lljubi.

Beautiful little mountain village Valldemossa. From there we continued our drive via Deià to Fornatlutx. Both of them were also really pretty places.

Amazing Cap de Formentor in the northern end of Mallorca.

We spent only one day and night in the capital Palma de Mallorca. It wasn´t as bad as we thought. One of the pictures below is about interesting underground waste collection system (metro).

Olimme kaikin puolin tosi tyytyväisiä reissuun ja valintoihimme!
We were very satisfied with the trip and our choices in every way!
